NQ Water: Aquila STP Cable Installation
By Deftec
The Challenge
NQ Water needed to expand their wastewater treatment infrastructure at the Aquila facility, requiring professional installation and termination of high-spec cabling for a new sewage treatment plant (STP) area and multistage pump system. The work demanded qualified electrical labour and premium-grade materials to ensure reliable, long-term operation in a water utility environment.
Our Approach
Deftec supplied a dedicated site electrician and two electrical apprentices to manage the full scope of cable installation and termination work. We specified and supplied 200 metres of 120mm power cable and 24-core OS2 singlemode mini loose tube fibre optic cabling, along with dedicated power cabling for the 20kW multistage pump. Our team handled all on-site installation and termination, with materials selected for durability and compliance in utility applications.
The Outcome
The Aquila STP expansion was delivered with professional-grade infrastructure ready to support NQ Water’s operational requirements. By combining quality materials with experienced site labour, we ensured the new treatment plant area and pump system were reliably connected and operational from day one.
