The Challenge
Moranbah North Mine required specialist engineering support to migrate their control system infrastructure across two critical platforms. The operation needed experienced PCS engineers to manage the technical complexities of transitioning both Citect and Ignition domain environments without disrupting mine operations.
Our Approach
Deftec deployed a Senior PCS Engineer with deep expertise in both Citect and Ignition platforms to lead the domain changeover process. We allocated dedicated engineering hours to each platform migration---6 hours for Citect domain transition and 6 hours for Ignition implementation---ensuring methodical, hands-on support throughout the changeover period. This focused technical engagement minimised risk and provided the mine with direct access to specialist knowledge during a critical operational window.
